Sorry Times

Non - tri related.

There are two stories everyone should read here. (click on picture)

Texas moves full speed ahead to execute a mentally ill man while another woman dies in an emergency room after waiting more than 24 hours for help.
She laid dead on the floor for an hour before someone came and took her away.

If this fucker isn't crazy then
there's no reason to even have
an insanity option on the books!

'If it's true that a society can be judged by how well we take care of the worst of us then I'm afraid we're not doing very well.'

so true.........the underbelly of society can be very ugly...........

I believe the world suffers from collective Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - from the beginning of time the anguish of suffering as a result of disease, war, disasters, poverty, cruelty and the deviations of life have rendered us crippled, wounded and unwilling to face our demons.

Our compassion is abdicated for our instinct to emotionally survive. We are rendered emotionally impotent. Society garnishes blinders and plunders through it's own carnage.

yet, the want, the need and the acts of goodness, generousity of spirit and kindness still abide with us, shine with us and endure despite our own impotence.
How amazing is that?!

point in fact..YOUR feelings of outrage and need to expose injustice, Clint, confirm that compassion (and passion)endure.
thanks for sharing Clint.

OMgosh I can't believe that poor woman. Our country is soo screwed up in medical treatments (to say the least).
I could only imagine if that happened to someone I know... I would be in a rage and then shoot the MD or whoever was in charge (probably nurse Crachit!).
